2.5MW ground-mount + 1MW roof-mounted solar PV

A sawmill with high electricity usage wanted to protect its operation against rising costs — with a large amount of commercial roof space and a field next to the site.

Novalux installed a 2.5MW ground-mounted system using bifacial panels, absorbing light from both the top and underside of the panel to increase generation, alongside 1MW across the site's roofs.

The investment future-proofs the business against rising costs while decarbonising the operation: £353,335 in annual electricity savings and a net benefit over 25 years of £12.6m.
